Suzuki has officially confirmed the arrival of the 2012 version of the GSX-R 1000, motion that completes the picture of the new high-powered Japanese sports bikes, a segment in which the Japanese manufacturer may rely on the strength of a tradition over ten years.

The new Suzuki GSX-R 1000 also complements the range of sports manufacturer, who, thanks to the GSX-R 600 and 750, is presented as one of the most comprehensive on the market despite the current crisis is hitting hard right of the segment same sports.

The model does not have the technical and aesthetic revolutions, but “only” a few renovations, such as the new single 4-2-1 titanium exhaust (especially good optical Superbike 2012), the Brembo braking system, suspension magazines, most modern instruments, the new black livery that joins the historic and beautiful white and blue with red stripes on the profiles of these wheels.

Less obvious at first view, but equally significant, the improvements made at the level of the engine, now features pistons lightened by about 11% and above by a new compression ratio that allows a much smoother torque curve and better delivery to the low and medium engine speeds.

Two defects of the new Suzuki GSX-R 1000: first, the competition lacks traction control, a device which now sport can not do without, are also few new features, especially for a brand that seeks the raise.

In short, while not questioning the validity of the bike (which has always characterized by one of the best quality / price ratio of the market), Suzuki could (and perhaps should) something more daring.
