EICMA 2011 1199 Ducati Panigale has debuted the new Superbike from the Borgo Panigale factory, which represents the top with regard to performance. The Panigale 1199 is available in three versions: base, S and Tricolore, the latter to celebrate 150 years of the Unification of Italy.
The L-Twin engine is 90 degrees with the classic desmodromic. The maximum power is 195 hp at 10,750 rpm, maximum torque of 13.5 kgm (132.3 Nm) at 9,000 rpm. The dry weight is instead of just 164 kg, ie 10 kg less than in 1198.
The big news, for that Ducati is a revolution, is the aluminum monocoque chassis, which takes the place of the tubular steel trellis, which has always been a hallmark of Ducati.

There are several electronic devices that help in sporty driving, such as traction control and ABS. In addition, the brake system of the 1199 Panigale proposes new Brembo Monobloc calipers of the M50.

Since 1199 has been designed very much for the track, there is also the Ducati Riding Mode, which is able to use different engine mapping (Power Mode) to adjust the power output thanks to Ride-by-wire. The DES (Ducati Electronic Suspension) Öhlins allows you to automatically change the suspension settings (as S and S Tricolore). The DTC (Ducati Traction Control) offers eight different settings. Finally, the EBC (Engine Brake Control) controls the deceleration of the motor shaft in hard braking, thus adjusting the throttle opening of the ride-by-wire system to maintain optimum grip.
