Husqvarna introduces the new TR TR and Road 650 650 Earth, two new models equipped with a modified version of the same single-cylinder engine of BMW G 650 652cc GS. As is easily understood from the name, the 650 TR road is the optimized version for road use, while the typical ‘ Earth ‘ is more oriented towards the dual use on and off-road. After the recent introduction of 900 Naked (Naked and 900R), this new pairing of models further confirms the intention of the German-Italian brand to expand its influence in the field of motorcycles ‘ road ‘.
The BMW single cylinder liquid-cooled, 652cc injection DOHC ENGINE has been reworked for the two 650 TR TR to provide 58 HP 60 Nm of maximum torque. More specifically, the changes to the engine include a recalibration of the injection system, altered camshafts, new pistons, increased compression ratio and changes to the piston and the cylinder head geometries. This unit also benefits from a new exhaust system stainless steel, and is now more efficient in terms of fuel consumption and less polluting.
Both the new Huskys use a sturdy tubular steel frame split-backbone, with upside-down fork with 46 mm and mono-shock rear mounted centrally with progressive linkage. The 650 TR Road will travel on cast aluminum wheels, while the 650 TR spoke wheel will Land best suited for off-road use. ABS is standard on the ‘ street ‘ and optional for the ‘ Earth ‘, while the list of accessories for both models include windshield, hand guards, low seat, lower engine cover, heated grips, alarm system, rear, cloth bag panniers and top case. The new Husqvarna TR 650 Street and Earth are produced at Husqvarna Motorcycles to Cassinetta di Biandronno (VA).
