Gilera, historical brand of Italian motorcycling has always specialized in small displacement, presented three 50 cc motorcycle moves: these are SMT, SMT Racing (motard models) and RCR Enduro, two-wheel all very suitable as models for the entry level neophytes who want to make their debut at the wheel of real motion.
All three new models of brand controlled by the Piaggio group have single-cylinder two-stroke 50 cc liquid-cooled, this engine is approved to the Euro 2 legislation, provides the maximum torque at low speeds and provides a guide enjoyable and satisfying from the standpoint of performance. The double cradle frame in high tensile steel is common to all three, as does the instrumentation.
What changes is the wheels, suspension and brakes: the enduro Gilera RCR 50 mounts a wheel 21 “front and 18 rear, both equipped with rubber plugs off road, on the contrary have SMT and SMT Racing wheels 17″ with road tires. In addition, the SMT Racing has a much better technical equipment for SMT, through for example the 41 mm front fork, rear shock absorber connected to a two-arm aluminum swingarm and the brake system that consists of two discs each, respectively, of 260 mm front and 220 mm at the rear.
Finally, several graphics with the SMT also more elegant and serious, the other two models but in true racing style, and perhaps closer to the taste of fans of this type of bike.
